Resumen de Diseño de Logo
I founded a non profit called College Bound Opportunities 10 years ago cbo4success.org. I now want to expand on this and go into the city of Chicago. I think my attached write up will give a good overview. Don't hesitate to call with questions. One key is we are going to draw on as many non profits as possible to help us put together a comprehensive program. I am interviewing all the time. The univesity of Chicago is interested i n what we are doing and I would hope that some day they would take it over. We feel it can be replicated all over Chicago and hopefully in the country.
Our motto, which I am open to changes is "Alliances benefiting all". This is instead of using partnerships which is highly overused and often means donations.
The key elements I would like in the logo are showing 3 young people of different nationalities (drawings fine) at different stages of life - Grade school, high school and career (in suite).
There could be an umbrella or circle around them indicating the life long mentoring and coaching. Many people when I tell them about what we are doing say they are surprised at how I connect the dots. Meaning getting the different organizations to work with these kids all along the way. Not sure if this is important in the logo.
Our theme under logo will be Alliances to benefit all (willing to change if you have better idea). I plan to list all of the names of our alliances on the back of the card which they will appreciate including I hope the designer we use for this and future projects

Project Deadline Extended Reason: I have guaranteed that I will select one of you. I also will give $50 to each of the four that are not selected because you have given me ideas.The most important thing is I want our logo to depict the most important differentiators of what we are doing, compared to other non profits. I do not care about the three letters in the name and I don't think want them as part of the logo. They seem to make it too large, unless you can come up with a clever way to do it.· I don not want a modern looking logo, but one that is easy to understand.· I would like the word Community to be at the top of the logo in easy to read letters and the words Thru Career to be at the bottom the same width as the word Community· I would like three easily identifiable children to be in the center of the logo with one being a young child, the second high school age and the third in a business suite. The faces should be discernable. One light brown, one darker and one very dark representing the mix of children we are working with. Therefore, the two colors I would like is Brown and whatever you think looks best with it.· One of the important keys to what we are doing is "connecting the dots" . This means we are getting many other non profits to work with us all along the way to ensure these young people have mentors from early childhood well into their career. These dots can be different colors and sizes as we are using many different kids of organizations. We are forming "Alliances" with these organizations and this is very attractive to everyone we talk to. Having Mentors through out most of their lives is the key.· The last important thing is we are doing is for all of this will happen in low income communities to help make it strong and reduce the many challenges they have. This could be a box around the whole thing with the words Community above and Thru Career below.I am also trying to think of a short saying for the organization that might fit below the logo if it does not make it too busy. I have included some of my thoughts.
