Resumen de Diseño de Logo
We need a logo for an academic research laboratory based in Kansas City called ASTRAL. The full lab name is Antimicrobial Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics Translational Research Laboratory, but this does not need to be incorporated. We study novel ways to optimize the treatment of multidrug-resistant bacterial infections ("superbugs") throughout the entire biomedical research spectrum (from benchtop to bedside). The name ASTRAL is not only an acronym for our lab name, but also represents our desire to make discoveries and explore the unknown (the stars, if you well). It also serves as an ode to the state of Kansas motto where we are based, ad astra per aspera ("to the stars, through difficulty").
We are looking for a logo that makes it clear that we research bacteria and this should be the focus. Any typical science features would be acceptable (beakers, flasks, test tubes, etc.), but we would also like consideration of making it more infectious diseases related (bacteria, bacterial colonies, Petri dishes, etc.).
Also, references to stars should also be present but subtle. Please no star-shaped logos. The logo should be modern and unique.
We are not hard set on colors, but would prefer incorporation of some blue and red would be preferable.
