He was born in 1970 and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Mohsen has been photographing professionally since the late nineties. He worked as a freelancer on TVC Ads Campaign ‘Cancer Colon’. In addition, he was the Creative Director at Melody Channel, and previously the Art Director and Head of Graphics and Creativity Department at Modern Sport Channel. He began his career as a photography instructor at the Institute of (ICCD). Mohsen continues to teach photography, conducting portrait workshops as well as delivering lectures at various organizations. With his attention to detail and his ability to capture expressions, Mohsen uses portrait photography to fulfill his creative drives. He is well known in the photographic communities as an outstanding portrait photographer. An uncompromising quality of craftsmanship, together with a signature style, distinguishes Mohsen in this highly competitive field. His work has been awarded several international prizes, including Photo of the Year - entitled “Geneen” - for Egypt’s Ministry of Culture 14th Youth Salon in 2002. In Germany, Mohsen was named one of the best 12 artists in the Middle East, specifically for his ‘Sudanese Refugees in Egypt’ photo in 2005. He is also the recipient of El-Sawy Cultural Wheel Photography Award in 2003- for his humorous ‘Peace Restored’ photo. Mohsen has also worked with the UN in different projects, such as, Education Building and Living Proof. In addition, Mohsen has been invited in June 2011 to participate in the opening of the photographic exhibition “25th, Tahrir square” at Le Sei Sorelle cultural association in Italy. His passion and creativity extend to shooting documentaries, which has earned him a nomination in 2008 in both France and Jordan for best short movie of the year ‘Unclaimed’. Mohsen frequently reinvents his creative approach to his work.
