He graduated from the Évora Universityin 2005 with a degree in Fine Arts. In 2006 he graduated from IADE witha Diploma in Communication and Image, in 2012 from the University of Barcelona with Master in Artistic Creation.Since then he has been developing his painting style and presenting his worksin solo and group art exhibitions. His work has been focused on painting,illustration of some projects and participation in some exhibitions. Fromthe very early age Hugo tends to create using different kinds of materials, andthroughout academic career he specializes and gets inside the Art world moreand more. Works are almost like an addiction that absorbs all his energy,twenty-four hours per day. He never sees himself in another area. He merges thepersonal fulfillment, with the professional achievement and there isn’tdifference. He feels very comfortable during the intensive creative process. Hiswork and concepts have been more objective and consistent only because hefollows the natural course and keeps on connected with the life that surroundshim and also he follows the intuitive decisions. Hugo works with reusablematerials, in painting and illustration he almost always uses the cardboardlike a support, because it has a unique plasticity and oil pastels and acrylicson it create something different andunderstandable. hide
