Family Reunion Logo Project

I have a family reunion coming up and want to essentially recreate what I had before, but I do not have the original artwork files. Attached are images from the prior design.

The logo without water will be going on water bottles, cups, and possibly napkins. The logo with water will be embroidered on towels. The text is "Hummelt Family Reunion" with year as " '13 "

I'd love for them to be modernized a bit too. A sans serif font would be nice and I'm sure the beach ball and water could be improved upon. It definitely does not need to be the exact design and I'm open to interpretation.

I'll need "vector based graphic files (EPS, AI, or PDF) with OUTLINED FONTS" for the logo with the water (requested by the towel embroider company). A PNG or JPG will be plenty for the other logo. I'd also like the original working file (AI or PSD) so we have something to start with when we have our next family reunion.
