Animation (and static equivalent) for hedge fund client presentation

We are looking for an animation that we can use in our PowerPoint presentations that illustrates the concept of characterising or identifying structure within a noisy system or data set.

We will also need a static version which can be used when that presentation is exported as a pdf.

I've uploaded some of our company branding material including a style guide for presentations, colours (a more complete set is at the back of the presentation) and so on to help you can get a feel for the kind of style we are after. You can also look at our website www.cambridgemachines.com.

We are open to different ideas of how this concept could be animated. For example, many of the people in the company have backgrounds from the Cambridge Astrophysics group, so the animation could be related to something astronomical (e.g. structure forming in the early universe).
