To create an identity for a master carpenter and customised woodworking business.

The logo for Zimmerman Jack Woodworking should be clean, clear and incorporate the materials and tools he uses. It should work on a website, stationery, business cards, and signage. It should state the company name "Zimmermann Jack Woodworking" and the final version will need to incorporate the website address "zimmermanjack.co.nz" and phone number. The logo should be delivered in the appropriate formats, at a resolution suitable for print (including large sizes for signs), email, and web. The logo should also translate well to greyscale and black and white.

Jakob has a passion for quality woodworking with an „old world“ attention to detail. We would like a logo depicting a co existence of the modern woodworking industry with the classic approach to furniture making and construction.

Approach: Iconic / Professional / Bold / Unique / High End.

We are looking to mesh a modern look with historical flare. Something that reflects tradition, quality and passion for craftmanship with a connection between Wood, Forest, Nature. We would like something clean yet stylised just enough to carry a historical theme.

We believe the circular sawblade is an icon that is a recognisable symbol that encompasses working with wood – years ago and today.

Located in Mangawhai, New Zealand, Zimmermann Jack Woodworking is a small business with a big passion for the beauty of nature. It is our goal to take raw and recycled materials, and find new ways to enhance their beauty. We specialise in utilising timber and bringing it to life in a variety of artistic, yet functional pieces.

About Jakob (Jack) Gruener.
The owner of Zimmermann Jack Woodworking, has always had a love for wood. He was raised in the Tyrolean mountains of Austria where he helped build many an Austrian chalet. Aside from spending countless days on the slopes he also enjoyed woodworking as a hobby, but mainly earned his living in construction. Jack began to view woodworking more seriously when he moved over to New Zealand with his family in January 2014, since then he has been further pushed in the direction of the workshop. Today, with two beautiful girls, a supportive wife and some space, Jack has a new lease on life.

This passion for life is expressed in all his work.
