We are a 14 year old company called Automated Workflow. We are undergoing a re-branding exercise and are now going to be called simply AWPL (which people know us by - started off as a short form for Automated Workflow Pvt. Ltd., but everyone simply used AWPL including customers and partners).
We are in the business of transforming the way people work. We take up truly transformational projects where IT enhances business either in cutting costs or increasing revenues. We are not your run of the mill IT sourcing company doing projects that are mainly skill based. Our engagements as described by our customers are highly passionate, show a deep love for precision and a no-compromise attitude of excellence. They describe us as true owners of their business outcomes and truly engage with us as partners.
We have lived with our existing logo (attached) and most people like it but we are looking to modify it based on the following reasons:
1. It shows Automated Workflow, which needs to be changed to AWPL obviously.
2. It looks a little tired and old. We need to show renewed strength, vigour and vitality.
3. We now dont like the teal colour although the red ball is fine but we welcome variations of that as well - even very abstract variation.
4. Each country that we operate in also would like to indicate its country location e.g. AWPL UK or AWPL Canada or some such for which the current logo does not allot any blank filler space.
We would like to retain the sphere and the arrows etc or an abstract relationship to that ball is also fine. Our product logo (also attached) is based on a vague relationship as well.
Bottomline - it should be fresh and new but yet hold some relationship to the old for brand recall strongly built over 14 years.
For what we do in our business and other details - http://www.aworkflow.com should provide you a good overview if you understand the software solutions industry.
Updates
Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Two designers wrote to me saying they wanted to modify the designs based on my feedback but they could not since the project was closed. I guess if I extend the project it might open up again.

Objetivo del mercado(s)
Our target customers are Insurance Companies and Banks and we power their document management and automate how work flows from one desk or station to another - so pretty significant in their scheme of things. If this fails, they stop working. They are currently based in Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, United Kingdom, South Africa and Canada - so pretty diverse set of people looking at it.

Requisitos
Debes tener
- Must have some sort of resemblance to the ball element of our logo but could be a fresh new take at it - either in colour or in texture or even just an abstract sort of resemblance or visual connection. Must look corporate though, and inspire confidence. A Sample showing a country name and how it would fit into the overall logo is essential. Must show that we are different from normal bodyshopping firms but have a highly evolved consulting and product mainstay at the company.
Agradable de tener
- Could have the tagline "transforming the way people work" in any case - proper case, all small case or all big case.
No debería tener
- No old fonts, no direct symbols to our business that literally translate our business in the logo
