Resumen de Diseño Web

Aware Engineering (www.aehealth.net) is a patient-focused start-up that seeks to improve adherence to prescribed medical therapies and reduce hospitalizations associated with chronic lung illness. To enact this change, we have designed, patented, and built a multi-device monitoring system that allows us to track medical devices associated with the treatment of CF, COPD, and asthma. We have an iPhone application (which is functional, but under development) and a web app (which is under development, but should be launched relatively soon).

As scientists, researchers, and engineers, we have built the technology. However, that doesn't mean that we have the skills to convey what we need to the public. In essence, we need a professional, but simple, update (*or remake*) to our website that satisfies the following:
- introduces the company/team and provides contact info
- introduces the technology (without revealing too much)
- explains what problem we are solving and why
- allows us to quickly update our site to inform investors of our progress (e.g., press releases)

We have an existing website (www.aehealth.net), a logo, which is light green with some lettering (shockingly original, i know), and numerous photos of the technology. However, as our devices are prototypes, I would like to keep things somewhat cartoony.

The final design should cater to professional and investor types, but be entertaining enough for parents (with COPD) and/or children who have CF between 15--25.

My original idea was to have the 'aE' on the back in white with the green background from the logo. We live in Switzerland though, and these people are conservative. The front should be simple with just the personal details. Please have the files in eps or .ai files so we can adjust the contact info as needed.

• A solid, unified theme. We don't want the website to feature too many sick kids using medical equipment. The product is designed to let people not worry about how they use their medical devices because physicians are watching out.
• We must have a spot where we show the web application (coming soon) and the iphone app. The iphone app will look and feel similarly to apple's health app. It would be nice if the iphone showed some nice charts with some trending and tracking data, the device name (e.g., air compressor nebuilzer or eFlow).
• Our sell is essentially two parts:
• Poor adherence = Increased sickness & higher costs: Current tracking devices are bulky, expensive (>$6000), only monitor a single device, and do not provide adherence alerts or predictions. Worse, they do not allow patients or family access to the data, and still require patients to manually send their physicians data.
• Better care = Improved quality of life & lower costs
• For less than $50, we provide a tiny, lightweight multi-device monitor that can track all of your medical devices. It uses direct feedback and gamification to promote adherence, and our simplified data visualization allows patients to gain insight and responsibility for their health and provides physicians tools to help manage. By keeping track of your adherence behavior, we can break the cycle of poor adherence and hospitalization.
