Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We're looking for a simplified logo with a distinct letter "G" in it. Our church name is Grace Church and we want a new logo that emphasizes the letter "G" with a modern yet simple look and feel. It needs to be modern but not so trendy that it will be outdated in a few years.
Attached is a start to what we're looking for. We just need it to be better than what is already designed. The colors could either be a neon green/black or an orange/black/charcoal combination.
