Question. Are you guys also open to just a word mark logo? So no icon logomark.

Its to think if your all about simplicity and your slogan. Could less be more? =)

Or is it that you need some kind of logomark for apps?

I assume the word Interion itself does not mean anything specifically right?

That sounds good! If you can create a design that's just a word mark logo, that can work. And yes, you are correct...the word itself doesn't have a set definition.
