Circumcised at Seventeen - an Uncut Comedy is a young adult comedy - fiction. I personally think an illustration would be best for this. It will probably be difficult to find royalty free illustrations for this, so original art will likely be necessary.

Here’s a whole lot of words about my story. It may be overwhelming, but it may help also…

My initial thought was to keep the cover image in line with the title. The words "Circumcised at Seventeen" makes me think of the actual event, and a seventeen year old's reaction to it. That would put the main character in the operating room, shocked and possibly shying away—legs crossed and both hands in front of his crotch. The character's name is Hubert Pubes Rawlings. He's awkward, geeky; he doesn't wear glasses, though. Think Kramer from Seinfeld at seventeen, but he doesn't act like Kramer at all. In the background could be the doctor possibly holding a huge syringe.

However, the story primarily takes place in a shopping center food court. Setting the cover here opens up possibilities for phallic symbols—mushrooms, bananas… There are specific stores that are worked into the story. Here's a list of them in order of importance:

T-Woks - A Chinese cafeteria style take-out. Everyone who works there is Chinese except for one white girl name Leigh.

Only Doughnut Holes - A doughnut shop that only makes doughnut holes. It's run by two gay guys.

Mexican Heaven - A Taco Bell type store run by a clumsy Mexican man

Chicken Fried Right - A KFC type store run by a determined Black man.

Mark Saint John's Fried Burgers - Mark is a pot head.

Sub Attack - A Sub Way type sandwich shop, all Pakistani.

Salads Like Mom Makes - A salad shop run by fat women.

As you can see, I've gone heavy with stereotyping for humor. Hopefully it won't come across as raciest. Racism is not at all what I'm trying to get across here.

Anyway, too many words… I was afraid of that.

In case you haven't read enough, I've attached a synopsis. This is not what I intend to put on the print cover, but it covers the whole story. It will help you understand what's going on.

Initially, I'll need an ebook design; but I will also need a paperback layout. A Createspace template will be provided.
