"MD Omics" Is a company that will be selling an advanced laboratory interpretation service to 'investigative' physicians (think Dr. House wannabees - ha!) . With Metabolomics we can analyze one blood draw that measures >1100 substances in the blood to see the whole body biochemical functioning at one time. I attach a metabolic map... every dot on this map has a value and we can see where biochemistry is flowing. Our product lets doctors see "The Forest and the Trees" of biochemical health.
This amount of data available overwhelms doctors... SO... Our business is to make the complex actionable. We provide interpretation for these complex sets of data.
The name of the company is MDOmics - but an impled space may be needed to separate in the mind the MD from the Omics. MD stands for medical doctor, "Omics aims at the collective characterization and quantification of pools of biological molecules that translate into the structure, function, and dynamics of an organism or organisms."
Colors need to be Crisp... we use heatmaps to analyze our data and we are almost always describing relationships and levels of molecules in the body as a continuum from Blue (cold) to Red (hot) .. see attached heat map for an example. We also report continuums from Green (good) to Red (bad) in our clinical reports.
The final design should communicate complexity made simple and actionable.
