Resumen de Diseño de Logo

I am seeking a logo for our business......we trade equities, fx, bonds, derivatives, commodities etc that are listed on global markets. At this stage we trade only for ourselves, however we will at some stage be venturing into funds management, educational & subscription services to the public....all within this same industry.

Our methods are very computational and algorithmic, with millions of calculations being processed at all times. I would think that something that signifies this would be great.

We also are a truly global trading business.

Given that our name is STELMM, I have taken a liking to the Greek letter 'Sigma' (see attached picture). I think this symbol has a mathematical feel, relates well to the S and the MM in the name STELMM and there is also a personal gravitation to a Greek symbol given that this is my heritage (a very proud Spartan!). Make no mistake, we dont have to have it this way, so please express yourself as you see fit. It could be another Greek picture or nothing Greek at all.

The name STELMM in the logo is optional. That word itself is under intellectual property. I think a stand alone symbol / logo is more suffice. If you think the word STELMM is necessary, feel free to add it. If you do this, be aware that the businesses have additional extensions eg. STELMM Capital, STELMM Asset Management, STELMM Investors etc etc

Hi all, just wanted to point out that the Sigma, or the Greek connotations are not mandatory. Feel free to express your artistic flair in whichever way you want. We will consider all designs. What i think is mandatory is a strong corporate feel rather than somethin gimmick. Also remmeber what we do - we trade global financial markets with algorithmic computerized models.
Cheers and good luck,
Michael

Hi all, we just wanted to inform everyone that we have decided not to take up any of the submitted designs. We are extremely grateful for your participation, and a special gratitiude to the many of you that submitted multiple designs, be it alternate or refined.
We tried very hard to capture the right design but have decided that none hit the bulls eye. We sincerely hope that we havent wasted much of your time, and that we have conducted ourselves in the spirit of this competition. There was always going to be one winner or no winners, and unfortunately we tried our best just like you did to find the right solution for our business.
When deciding on how we would end this competition, we all concluded here that we were dealing with very highly talented individuals. Good luck in your future endeavours.

Michael

Objetivo del mercado(s)

  • counterparties like brokers, research analysts and others who assist in the day to day computational methodologies. We need to be seen as very professional and corporate like

  • Large institutional, small boutique, and retail investors who will be looking at investing their funds with us

Texto del logo

not limited to it but thought that the Greek letter Sigma and / or the name STELMM

Requisitos
Debes tener
    • Needs to be unique
    • If you use the Greek letter ''Sigma'' then you need to stylize it so that we can get a trademark on the design. The letter itself is unable to become intellectual property. Important the we can get a trademark on this logo.
Agradable de tener
    • a Greek connotation (my heritage, a proud Spartan) eg. the Greek letter Sigma, Spartan helmut or shield
    • A mathematical / finance twist to it
    • These are nice to have, but you do not have to abide by these.
No debería tener
    • I dont want anything that is like a gimmick, non corporate etc
    • Probably dont need anything to busy....suppose that is just good logo design
