I am not sure, is the shape of Alaska allowed or prohibited to be incorporated into the logo?

I attempted to post this message earlier, but it failed. my apologies.

We have a board meeting on Tuesday June 2, 2015 at 1130 AKST: if we have strong designs by then we MAY select a design. As of now we have received a limited number of designs. We have no concern about continuing to deadline to ensure designers have an opportunity to submit and we select the best design to meet our needs.

We had a Board meeting today and did not select a design yet. Please continue to submit proposals and respond to feedback.

Please include a large high resolution design with your submission. Our brief has been updated to include this info. The design should be able to be to fill an entire power point slide and appear sharp and crisp with no pixelation.

Exactly what sz dementions would you like the actual logo to be?

There are several very good designs that vary significantly from each other. The best I can provide is a range. Some are round, square, rectangular, and triangularly elliptical (if that's a word/phrase). The final product should be a high resolution and be about 8"X10" ish. Proportional to its intended shape and design. The goal is if we print a poster or banner by enlarging the logo it should print crisply and clearly and not look as though it has been overly enlarged. Also when we reduce it to post on Facebook for example it should also remain clean and clear and easily recognized. If we use it in a power point it may be 8 1/2 X 11 on the title screen but reduced to 1 1/2 X 1 1/2 on the top corners during the rest of the slide deck. It will also be used on letterhead. We are looking for a versatile and flexible final product that can be used across a large variety of platforms and we wish it to keep its likeness and recognizability across the spectrum.

Designers - Thank you all for your great work and submissions. I am enjoying working with each of you. We have conducted a poll and have narrowed our final selections down. In the next few minutes I will be eliminating designs that are not in the final consideration. The remaining designs will be added to a new poll which will be the basis for selecting the final design. We will provide feedback and make requests.
