5stepCareers is a new career education company devoted to teaching career success one step at a time
Our first products will be a mix of self-paced e-learning, in person workshops and 1 to 1 consulting to help people learn how to achieve their career goals.
We are distinguished by
a) Pizza to CFO expertise. Climbed the career ladder from delivering pizzas to the dream jobs of management consulting, investment banking and to the CFO of a London Stock Exchange listed airline that was later sold to Virgin – experience in the trenches as a jobs seeker and making hiring decisions
b) Innovative scientifically proven teaching methods which use a simple step by step approach and reinforced by practical applications
c) Holistic approach of the 5 key elements for career success: strategy, CV, pitching, networking and interviewing
Design guidance
a) Prefer linear / horizontal logos versus vertical logos
b) Prefer simple designs to more complex ones
c) Prefer green or shades of green as a color (particularly ones similar to those found in the Restoration Hardware collection) either as a primary color or an accent color
d) Have thought about a logo that includes 5 steps climbing up into the “5” and maybe combines with the “S” in 5stepCareer
We would like a design that invokes feelings of aspiration, corporate, serious.
We will target university students and fresh graduates, but want to portray ourselves as serious people that take their careers as a serious business. The aspirational element we think is important. We are Pizza Delivery to CFO type success stories. We want people that GPA isn’t perfect or have some black marks on their record, but are willing to learn how and execute for career success.
