Watertec Engineering is a successful company in Water Treatment and has been in business for 30 years. It is an established company with a great reputation in the market. The existing logo was created 30 years ago when the company was formed and needs to be updated so it has a modern but still professional look.
The website - watertecengineering.com explains what the business does and the history. The main business is water treatment for aquariums (the largest supplier of treatment systems for aquariums in the world), industry, mining, aquaculture etc.
The company has offices in Australia and also Malaysia. The main client base for the company is China - so the logo needs to be appealing to both an Australian customer base and also a Chinese customer base. The company also sells in the Middle East.
Given water treatment is a very important function ie - keeps the fish alive in tanks, provides clean drinking water for people, treats water in pools to make it safe for people to swim, it is important the logo maintains a level of professionalism.
Further, the company has three divisions which also require logo design and these division logos need to work in with the main Watertec Engineering logo.
The division names are:
Watertec Environmental
Watertec Water Solutions
Watertec Services

I have attached some brainstorming ideas but we were not happy with these.
