It's the old "bait and switch". Total BS.

Buck,
I went back and reviewed all of our feedback to your designs.

On Wednesday  I reviewed your first design and sent you this feedback:

"This design: is under consideration. Please make some changes. (<< ADDED BY DESIGN CROWD)

I like this concept a lot. The pig/cloud is overpowering the text, lets modify it so that the text is larger than the icon.

Also we will need to jazz up the elements a little. Check out http://www.apple.com/, we like the gradient and stroke in the iCloud logo. Also some more color options would help us see this logo at different angles.

Thank you for your time and talent, we look forward to your revisions.

-Ben "

You then submitted a logo that had a smaller icon with a silver backing similar to the Apple iCloud logo. That was a good logo and the one i wanted my co-founders to be looking at. Since we liked your second logo more than your first logo, I went back and eliminated the first design. Design Crowd automatically sent you this feedback:

"Thanks for your submission but this is not what I''m after. Please don''t submit anymore designs." (<< ADDED BY DESIGN CROWD)

That was for your first design -not- the second design. I can see how you feel the way you do, but none of my actions were meant to mislead or trick anyone. It was only meant to cleanup my "design" tab so my co-founders only saw the top designs.  As I see it, the only action I may be guilty of is being a rookie here at DesignCrowd and may not have handled things in a normal way.  My goal was to eliminate the designs that were not the top 50% so those designers may have another chance and my co-founders did not have to see over a hundred designs. Because of this I did send a apology through private message and let you know that the storage incentive was still available to you.

I hope this clears the air and allows you to see the reasoning behind my actions.  I have no hard feels against you Buck for the strong wording you used.  I wish you the best and I know you will continue to be a successful design because of your talent.

Sincerely,
Ben

I'm sorry to say this, and I'm sorry for what happened here:
to BuckTornado: look, I can see on your profile you have made some serious money here on DC. I can also see your entries on this contest, so this is my conclusion: you have to learn how to lose contests man... I'm not saying in any way mine or other designer's entries are better.
BUT
To be a DESIGNER you need some knowledge about color theory, rule of thirds, industry standards, trends, symmetry, showcase, oldies but goldies techniques, research in today's designs magazines, etc, etc, etc
To see this as a "make money from home" scheme is just ... well ... WRONG.
So I'm sorry to say this, but, your designs for this project just... do not cut it.
Don't get me wrong, please. Always consider your work as it was done for yourself, put some soul into it, ask yourself at the end: "do I really like this?" and your work will be rewarded.
Thank you.
