Note: This is for design only. No coding required. We want to see your ideas for a great website! This project will be a FUN design and not boring like others you may have worked on.

Please let your creative ideas flow. We have given you a ton of info along with videos to help you understand what we are after. However, we WANT your creativity to shine through in your designs!

You will be doing the homepage of this design. If you are chosen as the winner, we will ask for your help with an interior page design. However for the initial phases just the homepage is required.

We are a professional company that has run hundreds of crowdsourced projects on multiple platforms. If you participate in this contest (we hope you do) you can expect great video feedback and consistent feedback. We guarantee that if we know your website design will not be what we are looking for, we will notify you, so you don’t waste your time if there is no chance of you winning.

Design Brief:

We are looking for a fresh and professional new website design for Total Asset Managers.

This company is a high-tech company that serves their clients on many different levels. Please visit their site, read about them a bit so you can understand the products and services that they offer. This information will be very helpful in your design process.

They are in need of a fresh new website that needs to convey trust, professionalism, and high-tech while at the same time having some personality and standing out. We do not want to be boring or look like every other site in our industry.

We want a website that is professional-looking. This website will be looked at by high-end decision makers in many sectors of business. We need the site to reflect very favorably on our company and to showcase our company in the best light.

Our client has said that if they could replace the name, and the proprietary info with their info on this site they would be very happy with the outcome. I know we can do better :)

Our client has said that the like the sleekness of their homepage, but overall the site seems too simplistic and generic.

This site is a great example of a site that we would not want. Too simple, to old feeling, to outdated for the times and our industry.


NOTE: We do not want to copy anything outright. We want to learn, model and take their ideas and make them better. We also want you to be flexible and take what we like along with your creativity to make an amazing design.

We do not want templates, themes, or anything like that. We are looking for custom design. If we feel you are just using templates as a way to win, we will just disqualify you.

Here is what we are looking for in more specific terms:

Site structure: We want a horizontal header, horizontal menu, a place for video in the upper left-hand part of the site. We also want columns to help us separate the important parts of our business on the homepage into simple easy to identify parts.

Colors: We like the darker blue that conveys high tech, cyber, IT, servers, etc. You can see examples of the blues that we like in the curvature video above.

Grays: Gray gives sites a high-tech feel if used right. I think you can see that in the Emcon video above.

Deep Purple: Our logo has a deep rich purple to it. This logo and it's colors helps us stand out in our industry. We will be keeping the logo and the colors so please work it into your design.

When looking at colors, please know that the current site and look is NOT what we are aiming for. We are going for a clean and professional look but also a look that is Bold and Vibrant (hence the colors).

Please use complementary colors on the site that blend well together to make an aesthetically pleasing design.

Menu: Horizontal. We like bold and easy to read menu items. Don’t make it small and cluttered.

Site Structure: Clean and easy to navigate. We have a lot of content to display, so we need a clean structure that breaks up the text and content areas.

Images: Please pull images from the current site or use stock footage.. We can always replace the images of course, but if you show them “their own industry” in the new design you will be closer to winning because it will feel more like “them”. We will purchase any images needed for the design once we choose a winner. We prefer Istock Photo and Fotolia as images sources.

Look and Feel: Professional. Bold. High-End. Business-like. We have already stated many times the feel of this site.

Content Areas: It is a safe bet that if it is on the current site we need it on the new site. So don’t drop anything as it makes it hard to “cut content”. Feel free to arrange it however you see fit though.

What we don't want: We do not want clutter, boring, or templates or themes. We don’t want too cartoony, too cute, or too fancy. We do not want to look like other companies in our industry, and we do not want anything close to our current site. Be creative!

Out of respect to professional designers who are working hard to win if you do not follow this brief, you submit worn out themes, templates, or boring designs you will be eliminated from this contest. We are offering great prize money for this contest, so we expect great visual designs.
