Resumen de Diseño de portada de libro
I need a book cover design for a new book I have written on Innovation called 'Innovation Archetypes' with the subtitle democratising innovation. I run innovation programs for organisations, to help them come up with new ideas to help improve their businesses.
An innovation archetype in my definition is that there are certain types of professional innovators who do one thing amazingly well that have become a patterned behaviour that's based on their career and the innovative things that they do. I have defined 12 key innovation archetypes - one of which is the designer.
The concept of the book is to allow people to work out what is the best archetype they can borrow techniques from to innovate for a particular situation.
This leads us to the cover. I don't have any artwork that I have to use so I
'm hoping that you can do something interesting the the words. Or maybe doing something with silhouettes of people as the book is about using someones else thinking style. Maybe this lends itself to a black and white front cover- I'm not sure- you're the designer.
As with all books there's a front, spine and back of which I have attached the back copy.
The book is Innovation Archetypes and the byline is democratising innovation.
The front cover needs to say: Innovation Archetypes
democratising innovation Nils Vesk
Spine is to say: Innovation Archetypes - democratising innovation Nils Vesk
The Back cover is to have the attached copy, the ISBN bar code and the QR code.
Book size is 136mm wide x 216 mmm high with a 10mm spine
My last book was called ideas with legs - there's a picture of it http://www.ideaswithlegs.com/the-book/
I have attached some word art from part of my logo and a light bulb that I had designed in the past - these are not must haves, but they might give you ideas or you might want to use them
good luck
here's the copy for the back page
Is it possible there is one way to innovate that creates more commercial success than any other?
Innovation Architect Nils Vesk knows there is just one such way. Determined to discover why so many organisations were suffering from too few innovations, he started researching, testing and applying the principles of innovating through professional archetypes.
His research was startling, as he discovered that professional biases had led to the creation of an obstructive innovation paradigm. This book has set out to change that. The old paradigm was that innovation was only for the privileged few. The new paradigm is that innovation be accessible to everyone, so everyone has the opportunity and knowledge to innovate.
The new paradigm means revealing the limiting biases and perceptions that have been thwarting innovation potential. This book counters these obstructions by utilising key principles from the worlds best professional innovation archetypes, allowing you to generate commercial innovation day in day out.
In this book you will discover:
how biases short change innovation capitalisation
which innovation archetypes to use for different phases of innovation
the thinking behind worlds best idea generation
the principles to uncovering rain making insights
how prototyping reduces the risk of innovation
the most effective ways to build and commercialise innovation
