A high quality PDF is absolutely suitable for printing and we will accept it.  My point is we would like to use the brochure as a template for other documents, and also have the option of making changes when required.

I am not a graphic designer and do not have any graphic design applications.  We posed this problem during our logo design project and the designer produced the design in EPS format so we could open it in the OpenSource application InkScape, which worked perfectly.

I presume you've faced similar problems so I am looking for a recommendation.  I am not asking you do it in Microsoft Paint - if possible we would like to have a way of editing it without investing in a $1000 piece of software.

Thanks,
Richard

did you want this as a trifold?

Trifold - no each page should be on A4

Hi Richard

My only solution to the Powerpoint problem is to do a template in Powerpoint. Will it only be the information that will need to be edited, or will you also need edit images too? The Powerpoint
file you supplied, is this up to date? Your power point file has 4 pages, but you need 6? Just
spread out 4 pages to 6, correct. For the printed version is it A4 6 panels printed two sides?
Please advise.

Thanks Pat

Hi Pat,

The end quality is more important than the document format.  Ideally we'd like to be able to edit it, maybe you can do the graphic design in your preferred application then port to PP?  What format do you normally present in for these competitions?

Please don't spend ages on the text formatting in the document, initially we'd like to see concepts.

Thanks,
Richard

For this I would use Adobe InDesign. Just please confirm That I will be taking info from

your Powerpoint file to make the brochure. The size will be A4 1 page printed two sides
folded in three sections giving you 6 panels not pages.

Just confirm this and I will accept and submit a design.

Thanks Pat

Hi Pat,

Yes you should be taking the content from our brochure - don't get to caught up on the style of the PPT, the most important thing is the text is there, i.e. present it how you want...

Thanks,
Richard
