Resumen de Diseño de Logo

I am starting a new company that focuses on educational toys for kids. The first phase of products will emphasize learning STEM concepts (science, technology, engineering, math) through fun.

We picked the name Four Sages for our company to reflect four core areas of child development (physical, social, emotional, cognitive) plus the idea of a sage as conveying wisdom / learning.

The logo will be printed on all the toy packaging / boxes as well as the website of course.

The target ages for these products will range from 3-12 so we need a logo that won't seem too baby-like, but also one that is easy for kids (and adults of course) to recognize if they see it on a box. So I think the color / shape of the design is much more important than the words.

The concept I had in my mind for the logo was something with four distinct parts (and 4 different colors) that come together to form an image. Ideally it conveys something about learning as well.

Ideas I had:
1) Four piece puzzle (interlocking pieces), with each piece a different color, could be 2D or 3D. I can easily picture appealing shades of red, green, blue, yellow...but am open about the color palate...

2) Lightbulb with four different colors inside (could be puzzle-like pieces inside the lightbulb or just four squares). Something like this:
