Welcome to our Logo Design Contest!


***There are now five participation prizes to be awarded, along with a larger amount paid for first place***


Aevea Publishing Inc is a new publisher of eBooks and eventually paperbacks. We are looking for a logo to brand us that will be readily and immediately identifiable to the reader.


THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

If you've not designed a logo for a book publisher before, you might find it helpful to look at some examples. While they vary widely, it will give you some idea of what we're looking for.

Please include any of the following in the logo (either together or by themselves):


1) The word Aevea (this can be spelled Aevea, aevea or AEVEA)

2) A woman's face or figure. If you go this route, please use your own original art and be modest. It needs to be suitable for all ages.

3) Please submit a black & white logo and a multi-color logo. If you want to show the logo in different color schemes, please submit them together as much as possible. There are no color restrictions or preferences to begin with, but we will likely have you tweak colors as we see different designs and color schemes.

4) Anything relating to any of the following: fantasy, morality, American history, politics, current events, or spirituality. Combine as you like.

5) Please pay attention to the logo styles we've checked and to the look and feel sliders below, as well as the target market info.


Things NOT to include, please:

1) Do not include the rest of the company name, just Aevea in one of its above forms.

2) Do not include anything overtly religious. While our books may have elements of spirituality or could be considered uplifting, they don't really fit in any religious or faith based category.

3) Do not include anything which refers to the biblical Eve, like fig leaves, snakes, serpents, apples, fruit, a nude woman, a woman in a garden, etc.

4) Please avoid using generic or commonly used graphics. We would like to see as much original design and images as possible.


Communication and Feedback

Unless we have very few design submissions, our communication back and forth will be limited to asking a designer to resubmit, or requesting no more designs. We will try to give feedback where appropriate and when possible, given the time constraints of this project. We will also request changes be made to the logos we like but feel need tweaking.
