Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We need a logo design for a Marketplace where people will be able to buy Disney / Universal / DC Comics / Dreamworks collectibles, specifically pins. We want to evoke the wonder of a kid going on a cool theme park ride or seeing "Star Wars" (or any other Fantasy/Comic-based movie) for the first time, and wanting something to commemorate the event.
Our current website is "http://pinpics.com". This site, (with it's placeholder logo) is still in development, but you can get a flavor at http://pinpics.com/marketplace3 -- it's sister site, where we will be placing the blogs and calendar is at http://news.pinpics.com. Ideally, we want something that would look great both places, since that's where we'll be placing them.
The PinPics logo replacement will be a separate project later on.

Debes tener

• Would like to convey the idea of making friends around the world. Many of our store owners will be from China, and our customers primarily from the U.S. We'd like something that appeals to both.
• Must be playful! It would nice to evoke a feel of wonder, like a Harry Potter's world or look like it came from a really cool comic book. WARM, FRIENDLY -- like the entrance to a theme park.

Agradable de tener

• I'd love to see a globe on there, but not attached -- we plan on turning this logo into a wearable pin to give to our Store Owners, so something that will look good as a pin.
• Some blues would be nice, but designers can choose what other colors to add to it.

No debería tener

• Pointy edges -- we want something that we can turn into a pin, that won't snag on clothing.
