Resumen de Diseño de Póster

Khazana is an independent feature film. We are looking for someone who can design an amazing one sheet poster for us.

The film is a drama with some light horror elements. The film is about a young Indian bride in America, who suffers abuse at the hands of her new family... until the day comes that she decides to take revenge. In short, this is a revenge fantasy... think Bollywood influenced Tarantino.

The design will visually entice people to see the film on the idea:
"What has this vixen done?"

Some posters we like:
black swan - http://www.impawards.com/2010/black_swan.html
grace -http://www.impawards.com/2009/grace.html
revenge - http://origin.tvfanatic.com/gallery/revenge-poster/

Currently, we prefer something fairly simple. Some logo font and typography work over an artfully cropped photo should suffice. That being said, we are open to anything amazing.

** Everyone is feeling the need to drastically edit and filter the photo and do all sorts of design-heavy effects. We'd love to see some simpler designs that make use of the photo more directly. See the black swan example. We see this as a challenge of TYPOGRAPHY and LAYOUT more than a "how can we manipulate the photo".

We are hoping to get a layered .psd. The look/feel/logofont will become the "identity" for this film in both print and online advertising, and for our kickstarter campaign in particular.

Thanks everyone for your hard work! I have some responses for the most common feedback issues below:

As I said in the brief... this is not a horror movie. It is a drama with a hint of horror and some dark comedy. While we have several great designs in consideration, nobody has provided a simple, elegant layout that shows off the photo (like the Black Swan poster). There's an opportunity here for someone to do that.

Also, the text elements of "Khazana - treasured - a Rahul Nath film" should be one visual element. The logline (Revenge is served.) and Sonal Shah's name should both be separate.

I am happy to answer any questions you might have. Thanks again for all the great designs so far; I am confident we're going to wind up with something (or several things) that are wonderful.
