Book Cover Design Project

I'm very sorry, but I'd like to withdraw my acceptance to this offer.
Thank you,
Liana B.
No problem
Can I ask (as this is my first time using DesignCrowd), why you withdrew? You accepted the offer within minutes of me posting it (probably within two minutes!).
Did you accept it without actually reading the brief, then find the brief complicated?
-I'm trying to figure out how to maximize this platform.
Thanks.
I accidently pressed accept when I meant to press reject. Sorry about that.
I gotta say that I'm shocked to be the only submission for this project so far. I thought you'd have at least 10-15 designs already. Any chance I could get some feedback on my design? I'd like to know if I'm anywhere near the ballpark with it. Thanks
Definitely!
I travel often, so I haven't been able to reply back.
I'll do that directly to on your submission, with comments.
I've never used this platform, but I'm expecting many of the submissions to come next week (as it was a longer lead time.)
Hi,
Do you have any size requirements to design for? Also are planning on printing hard cover with a dust cover or soft cover?
Thanks! Megan
Unclear as of right now. I'm actually hoping to use this when I submit to publishers (so they can see what I'd like to do as a cover).
I'm certainly planning on a short run of hard covers, but this will likely see it's greatest exposure on softcover, and as an image to accompany an audio version (Hence my references to a "Movie Poster" layout.
Some advice:
1) Keep it crisp and uncluttered.
2) The Title doesn't need to own the whole cover, but it should feel contemporary (font-wise) and live at the top-subtitle underneath
3) My audience is the business community/brand managers/marketers, etc (not the academic community.
Good Luck! Look forward to seeing what you come up with/
Great! Thanks for your quick reply.
BTW, I am going to go with a 6x9, it is a really standard and highly flexible size.
Hey there. Looking forward to working on this design today. What exactly do you consider "predictable cheesy stock photography"? I'm looking at retro John Hughes and that seems predictable to me. Just a little confused, let me know.
Thanks,
Julie
