Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We need a logo for a new store that will open in New York in Greenwich village. The name is Mirador and we will carry men's and women's apparel and accessories. The vision is for the store to be a well-curated space that showcases a selection of emerging designers and well established brands.

Mirador means vantage point in spanish - but preferably the logo will not be a literal interpretation of this.

Initial guidance: General consensus is that the logo should be Mirador in a typeface that makes the word look balanced with an icon to go along (we have a few ideas, e-mail us if you would like to hear them).

Simple is better - logo needs to work well on shopping bags, business cards, shoe boxes. We are also launching an e-commerce component so it needs to work well for a website. Since we are selling men's and women's products - the logo should be "gender neutral."

Finally, we want Mirador to become a stand alone brand that is associated with great curation of product as well as culture and experience.

Update: After reviewing some submissions we have received, we would like to add that the "icon" does not need to be a play on the letter M. The icon can be anything you want (animal, random shape). And minimal, elegant, classic, ever-lasting is what we're looking for. Something that you can look at in 10 years and have it still look great.
