Resumen de Diseño de Póster

Technical requirements: We need designs for an A3 sized poster, a trifold double side A4 sized flyer, and a standard corflute, to advertise our open day, on the .27th of February, 2016 at 49 Phillip Ave, Watson, ACT. Dates must be in the Australian format: dd/mm/yy or dd/mm/yyyy.

The date sections on all of the designs must be editable, and the flyer must have large sections of content which are easily editable. The flyer must have the room to talk about the history of the organisation, its current size and structure, current programmes, how to join, etc.
All can be full colour.

Artistic requirements: The designs must incorporate our logo (attached), the organisational colours (gold, white, and navy blue), and must achieve three goals. They must:
- Portray the organisation as a fun, diverse, and exciting community of musicians;
- Encourage people to come and participate in our open day and eventually join the organisation.
- Reflect the diverse styles of music the organisation plays, and make jazz and classical music attractive.

Design guidelines:
Ideally the designs should be simple, uncluttered and beautiful. They should focus on conveying information.. They should showcase the band's colours and draw on classic images and designs from jazz and concert band history. They should be eye catching.

Organisational background:
Canberra City Band was established in 1925 and has a long standing history as the band of Canberra.

CCB supports a variety of ensembles including:
1. Junior Concert Band for beginner students.
2. Youth Band for young musicians eager to push their skills to a higher level.
3. John Agnew Band, a recreational concert band for those new to an instrument or returning after an absence.
4. Spectrum Big Band - a semi-professional big band.
5. Canberra City Band - A-grade wind ensemble recently runner up at the National Band Championships in Sydney
6. The Hoffman Winds & Brass - flexible, professional chamber wind and brass ensembles.

Regardless of your level, we want to hear from you as Canberra City Band is always keen to take on new players. We play for a variety of community events throughout the year and if you don't want to play, come have a listen!
