Resumen de Diseño Web

I'm an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL), and I'm the person behind a small, off-the-beaten-path fan site, built using WordPress.

The existing site is at http://silentmode.tv. As you can see, it could use an infinitely better design!

My site was originally for reviews of LEGO sets, and had extended to include general commentary and a small gallery of models I've built and a cast of characters. It's particularly known for my opinions and perspective on the world of LEGO, and as such isn't necessarily child friendly.
While keeping existing content, the new version of the site will focus more on video content from my YouTube channel.

In contrast to the current site, I'm looking for a light design that makes use of a few muted, low saturation colours, whilst remaining clean and relatively simple. The logo is part of the site's identity and should serve as inspiration for the design.
The content pages would keep the thin floating menu, and the content area would be no more than 1200 pixels wide.
Though it's a LEGO fan site, I would like to avoid overt references to LEGO elements. Other that that, you're more than welcome to use your creative license with the design.

In addition to the home, blog and post pages, I would also like a "placeholder" page that can be adapted for different page types. I will be building the theme from the designs, so don't worry about doing any coding.
You don't have to provide them all at once at this stage: I would suggest submitting either the home page or post page.

The final design should communicate "this is MY corner of the web", but above all else that it's about creativity and self-expression.
