Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We need a logo design for our first annual triathlon, KMC Sage City Triathlon in Monticello, Illinois. This triathlon is being put on by Kirby Medical Center. Kirby Medical Center hosts an annual 5K/10K Walk/Run/ Kids' Race every May, too. The mascot for the Kirby Derby is a derby horse that is a fun, bright character. Monticello's school mascot is an owl (Sammy the Sage) and the school colors are purple and gold. We would like the triathlon logo to include the owl and the colors to include purple & gold. We thought about making Sammy the Sage (owl) a "buddy" for the Kirby Derby horse mascot. Maybe have the owl look a little friendlier?

I'd like to have designs that have an owl that has the run, bike, swim design in the feathers. I have drawn up an example of what I had in mind and attached some photos for examples. We also need to have the "KMC" logo and "Sage City Triathlon" text with the run, walk, bike, image incorporated within the logo.

I have attached a Kennesaw State logo with an owl holding the text that I like, but open to other suggestions on how the text is incorporated into the logo.
