A number of recurring themes from all you great designers.....

1.  The overall height on many of the logos is quite large.  I'd like the height of the overall logo to be no more than 150% of the height of the letters used in our name.

2.  Red must be part of the logo.

3.  No rough fonts.....  simple, elegent and easy to read, as most of our clients are older (poor eyes and gray hair)

4.  I've received some really creative designs but the elements are too subtle for our clients..

I'm amazed at the great works you all submit.

With all the great logos being submitted, I've been able to refine my likes an dislikes.

Just a font or color change will not win this contest.

Try and incorporate a graphic that conveys, charcoal, grilling, smoking of foods... I don't want a graphic in front of the name, behind the name, above the name... I'd like to see it within the name.

My top picks so far have all had a non-stylized graphic within the name.

I just increased the budget amount on this project to include a third place which will pay the same as second place.

I'm very impressed with the designs I've received, the willingness of all the designers to work with me on updates.  If design crowd offered a 4th place, I'd do it too....
