Do you want any particular colors (and how many) used or is it up to designers discretion?

No particular Colours, As many as the designer feels looks good. I don't want to limit the options.
I will say I would prefer a design that is not purely text.

The product is a rubber paint mainly sold in aerosol cans used for a tempoary change of colour to vehicle wheels and parts. It is also used in the repair of tools. Due to the main demographic Being automotive i think it would be better sticking to the automotive theme and I would like the logo to be suitable for prominent position on the aerosol can. Some thing that will catch the customers eye, and be easily recognizable. If the logo could be suited to identify the colour of the pain that would be a bonus and if it could highlight the fact it is removable it would be even better.
