Resumen de Diseño de Logo
Hello Designer Friends,
I am looking for a graphic designer that can create our first logo. Little background on the start-up I'm placing together. I'm establishing a streetwear/urban clothing brand in Buena Park, CA called "World Abomination". We will start out making T-Shirts then venture into other mediums of clothing. Our target market consists of teenage to late 20 year olds (male) who are inclined to wear brands like: RVCA, Volcom, The Hundreds, Diamond Supply Company, 10 Deep, IM King, etc.
Brand Message:
The brand message follows this tagline I'm kicking around, "Few vs. Many". The idea that there is a smaller population on this earth that will actually stick up for what is right. By recognizing the world literally can be an "abomination" and we are doing what we can to help. I'm looking to give somewhere around 20% of all proceeds to blood cancer research. But please, don't feel compelled to incorporate that part in the logo. I see that as an added bonus for the company and shouldn't be the primary brand message.
The Look:
I have a really good idea of how I would like the logo to look. Since World Abomination is a long name. I wanted to be known for its acronym "WA". I would prefer the letters capitalized with the W and A sharing the same line, combining the two. After that, incorporate the @ sign (minus the lowercase "a") with the line swirl attached to the bottom right point of the A. The swirl should wrap around both the W and A, similar to how its done on the @ sign.
I'm open to most friendly typefaces out there like Sans Serif curvatures, or even like RVCA's logo. I want the rounded edge look as its more pleasing to the eye. Please...I urge you to check out my future competitors listed above before proceeding as it will help with direction. I'm open to some tweaks you feel are must-haves. I have a love for curulean and the color blue in general. I want the logo to look good in plain black as well as color. Good Luck!

Please make sure to have the W and A connect. So either delete the right line on the W or left line on the A then connect. I would like to see both rounded typefaces and regular pointed typefaces like RVCA. Thank you!

Right now I believe RVCA is the most direct competitor as far as style. I like how clean their logo looks, plus what I think is missing with these lifestyle brands is a modern take on active lifestyles. So stay away from the common underground "bubbly" look. That''s the best I can describe it, I think it alienates those who don''t like the graffiti look. Its not what I''m trying to capture, my objective is to not lean one way in style with my logo but rather be neutral. That way my shirt designs can venture into different realms without as much clashing going on between brand identity and product. Hope that makes sense. A sub-market I''m going after are hardcore gamers. That ties in the demographic I''m going after. Please visit RVCA, I like the approach they have on color as well.
