We are a new coaching & training company and we need a logo design.
The company name is Khastalia and its tagline is 'enlightened leadership' (you may capitalize none, all or the initial letter in both the name and the tagline, as you see fit).
The company provides corporate training and executive coaching services to West Coast business leaders in the following areas:
- Leadership Development
- Interpersonal Influence
- Public Speaking
- Strategic Communications
- Personal Branding
We work with high-performance business leaders who, despite their successful results, are not entirely satisfied with their lives or with the way they achieve those results.
We help them develop authentic relationships within their team, actualize their full potential as human beings and become role models that people look up to, the way they used to look up to their mentors when they were younger.
We do this by accompanying them on a personal development journey, during which they remain in the driver's seat. On this journey, we like to think of ourselves as fellow travelers.
What people usually call successful leadership is getting shit done by making other people work for you. The process is not without friction and hard feelings are a common by-product.
What we mean by 'enlightened leadership' is getting shit done while feeling good about it (and, implicitly, by not making other people feel bad about it). Instead of 'enlightened' we could have equally called it 'humane leadership' (but that would have rubbed some people the wrong way).
The look and feel of the logo needs to be congruent with this forward-looking idea that self-aware and interpersonally intelligent leadership is a real possibility and will, actually, be the corporate leadership model of the 21c.
Any style is encouraged and all of the following are fair-game as is any other proposal that manages to convey the spirit of this brand:
- a pictorial logo inspired by a real-world object (although we couldn't think of one)
- an abstract logo that conveys any of the ideas of change, interpersonal dynamics, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, personal development
- an abstract logo that is simple, distinctive, memorable, works visually with the name and the tagline and simply intrigues people (we believe that, through adequate communications, a logo ends up signifying whatever you want it to signify so we are not afraid of a 'meaningless' abstract logo).

Must work equally well online and on printed stationary, especially when scaled down.
Must work equally well in grayscale and monochrome.

- A distinctive abstract or pictorial logo that would work well even without text (although it would normally be with text) and could be used as a website ico file or to create a metal pin, for example.
