Resumen de Diseño de Logo

The International Rice Research Institute needs a logo for their Rice Doctor, an online diagnostics key for diagnosing rice crop pest and disease (and also some other like nutrients or environmental) problems. In the future this tool will also give recommendations what to do about the diagnosed problem. The tool already exists online( http://www.knowledgebank.irri.org/ ) however, is currently undergoing an overhaul. It will be developed as a web based tool, with mobile app versions available in the future.
The logo we came up with so far can be seen here: http://54.243.234.203/Ricedoctest/Ricedoctest.html , however, we do not really like the design and would like to get some fresh ideas in. We choose the stethoscope as a symbol for diagnostics, however, this is just an idea and we are not too concerned if it gets removed. for a general colour scheme (different types of green) and fonts please see our main website www.irri.org

• The name 'Rice Doctor' must be the name. The tagline 'diagnose and manage your crop problems' can be changed. We do need a tagline because this product logo should be in line with our other product the IRRI Rice Knowledge Bank http://54.243.234.203/Ricedoctest/Ricedoctest.html
  This logo and tag line (for the Rice Knowledge Bank) we are relatively happy with and the aim is develop something for the Rice Doctor that fits in with the Rice Knowledge Bank design. I.e. both products look branded the same way.

Agradable de tener

• a logo that symbolises diagnostics and/or plant health such as the stethoscope which we used in our logo attempt. However, other symbols could also work. Must be recognized though by a wide/international audience.

No debería tener

• symbols that are only recognised in some parts of the world but not others. I.e. the Rx sign for prescription/pharmacy, would be perfect for our product, however, it would not work for many countries.
