Resumen de Diseño de Logo

First of all, I need to apologize for my English. This is a project that requires very specific vocabulary that I am not familiar with it. So I will try to be as didactic as possible. Since I guess most of you is not familiar with the correct terms either, I hope this won't be a problem. But, in advance, I am available to answer any question that you might have.

My husband and I are from Brazil and 3 years ago we bought our first Mangalarga Marchador horse. The Mangalarga Marchador is a horse breed native to Brazil. We now have 10 horses at our property. We call this place HARAS FAMILIA LOPES. Haras in Portuguese means a place where horses are bred. But until today, no horse was actually born at our property. Usually, horses, when bought, come with a name and a surname. The surname is the "haras" name. For example, the horse Diamante Favacho was born at Haras Favacho. All the horses we own has different surnames. But this will change next December when 2 foals will be born with our surname.

The surname is registered not only on papers but also on the animal skin. That is one of the reasons why we need a logo for our Haras. This logo will appear on the property entrance (wood sign), saddle pads, t-shirts and uniforms and most important on the horse skin. This mark is made with nitrogen so is painless for the horse, but it requires that the logo doesn't have many details, otherwise It can be difficult to be understood.

In terms of style, we are a young couple, starting a new breed, so it would be nice to have an elegant and kind of modern logo. We are introducing a new concept to the market and it would be awesome to send this message through our logo. But we can't forget that we like the country/western style. We have been using a logo that has the letters HFL combined and we liked it very much. But we now think that It would be difficult to understand it on the horse skin. So that is why we came here to ask you to design a new logo for us.

We see 2 possible paths and we have examples of both ones on the attached file:

1 - Create a logo with a simple icon that we could use on the horses.
2- Create a logo with a nice font and use the letters on the horse (most of the Haras here do this)
