YOU WANT COMPLETE REDESIGN FROM SCRATCH OR WANT TO BUILD ON TOP OF THE OLD LOGO?

Tough question. I want to keep our image but modernized. Do a google search on logos before and after. You'll find Walmart, burger king and more. Many companies have done a good job in designing a new logo while keeping their image. That's what we want.

most modern logos are simple. We are looking for simplicity too. Look at before&after logos in companies like Burguer King, Wal Mart, KFC, Domino´s, Starbucks, Pepsi, TGI Friday´s, etc..., they are modernizing/simplifying their logos but they keep their image and their colors.
We want to keep the colors. Think apple, ihop, arby´s, etc.
Simplicity, easy to identify, strong image.

Hi, thank you for your submission. I realize i´m asking for a lot. Such a long company name and yet i want simplicity and keep my image. Not sure it can be done :)
That said, feel free to remove the little running man. Remember, we´re a "home depot" kind of store. I like what they (homedepot) did with one of their logos, where they have the orange square with just an "H" in it, and then the full name beneath. Just an idea.

you may also submit some completely new logos, for example some lines resembling a house or a roof and then the name beneath, etc. But we definitely need to keep our original colors.

another idea, how about instead of the full image of the running man, use some basic lines that outline the running man. Leave most to the imagination... does that make sense? And perhaps the name MATERIALES DEL NORTE could be the board that the man holds. Just another idea that you as a designer can build upon.
