Cross-Cultural Communications is a training organization that prepares people who speak another language to interpret safely, wisely and well in a variety of settings. Our premier program (The Community Interpreter®) is a 40-60 hour program which acts as an introductory course to community interpreting as a profession. Interpreting is orally facilitating communication between two parties who speak different languages.For example, if an immigrant who does not speak fluent English breaks a leg and goes to the hospital or needs to speak to her child's teacher, an interpreter can help bridge that communication gap. is also important to note that this program focuses on spoken language rather than signed.

Our classes are very diverse. We teach people ages 18 and older from countries all around the world.

We need a logo for this program and its online counterpart "The Community Interpreter® Online". We want the logos to express the joy and fun of this unique profession, while simultaneously maintaining an air of dignity and professionalism (interpreting is a profession, not a hobby). Also, we need the logos to communicate with each other. They are the same program, but through different mediums.

• Must communicate our message in a clear and concise way. Must have strong cohesion between text and image. Must use a limited color palette and translate well into black and white. Both logos must also communicate with each other and be done in the same style. Must include the registered trademark symbol (®) in both logos after "The Community Interpreter®". (The registered trademark, of course, has to be superscripted, I just can't do it in this text box).
