Resumen de Diseño de Logo

Respirit Pilates is a well-established Pilates studio in Luxembourg with a nice logo design, which we would like to revamp / refresh a bit.

In principle we would like to keep the original logo form and use it in and /or with(in) watercolour-type patterns and design. This original logo form represents a traditional Pilates exercise (called "swan dive") but some also relates it to the name of our studio (see meaning further below) symbolising the "re-spirit" with a flame-type pattern.


The project is not only about re-colouring the existing form. We would like you to find an original way to embed and/or connect our logo form into an abstract watercolour pattern. If you like, these would be patches of watercolour paint, which can be used as wallpaper for website background, letter paper, etc. We are looking for something truly original how this connection between the logo and the patches arranged and what is the concept behind. If you wish, the original logo can as well be redrawn as a watercolour brush line. We will specifically need this latter if the connection is made by using negative space.
I have attached some photos as examples for the concept.

As all in all watercolour patterns, colours, shades and their arrangement are very important. We would like to see a vivid pattern, but with the majority of pastel-type colours that are suitable for interior room design as well. We have white, grey and wood already in the studio and would like to maintain purple for sure. Gold, amber, sunny orange are also an option to represent light and warmth. The overall appearance should give a warm and cosy impression. It would be nice also to notice the "60-30-10 rule", which is a rule preferred by interior designers when choosing colours and shades.
The colours marked in the below chart are only indicative. Please try different shades.


Please bear the different meanings of "Respirit" in mind:
- Put new spirit into something
- Refresh your spirit
- Respire = Breath

And also the fact the Pilates is a very mindful movement system, with lots of focus and concentration. Relaxation and meditation are only secondary objectives, unlike to yoga.

We attach some pictures, where we like the composition of colours ... and only the colours. However, do not let your imagination get limited by these pictures as we are looking for new and original ideas.

The original logo form is also attached for reference, with and without text. This form represents a traditional Pilates exercise.
