I am very interested in this project, but as the payment is not guaranteed and you are looking for a lot of illustrations this side of xmas, would you prefer just a sample style of Thor first? This amount of work ought to be assured of payment to be fair to any illustrators submitting their work.

This is my first time using this site, so I'm not really sure of the ins and outs. If you wanted to submit a sample of Thor or even an example of some previous work you did that would be great.

If it looks good, I can guarantee payment. I'd be curious to get your input on how many illustrations you would use for the story, and if you had any thoughts on how to break up the pages.

As for pages you have currently asked for 14 pages/illustrations. Normally books print off in 4's so I would recommend combining maybe 2 of the pages for content, but its up to you.

I have unfortunately only just found this project and don't have time to fulfill the full brief of 14 illustrations
would examples of the characters be sufficient?

In the meantime please see my profile and tell me what you think of my style.
Bear in mind each story is different. Although this is my style, your story would have its own look and feel.
I would probably give it a more distressed look (as if its been painted or carved on stone)

I think it could be nice to add impact to certain parts of the story by having some images bigger than others.
for example, the part where Sif wakes to find her hair has been chopped off could be a double page spread.
Are you limited to the amount of pages when using Blurb.com, I had a quick look and it seems the minimum amount of pages is 20. Am i correct?

An example of some of the characters would be sufficient.

I had a look at your profile and I think your style looks great. The distressed look could be interesting, and I really like the idea of doing some of the images and double page spreads (I think you're right that there's a 20 page minimum).
