HARROGATE HOMELESS PROJECT
HHP was established 25 years ago with the aim of easing the difficulties faced by homeless people in the Harrogate District (in the North Yorkshire of England)
HHP has a fundamental driving aim and that is to help, encourage and facilitate the transition from rough sleeping back to independent living in society for all homeless people irrespective of their background. We actively discourage rough sleeping and have had significant success in helping clients recover their self-respect and recover their places back in society
We believe it is imperative to give our clients “a hand-up rather than a hand-out”.
We operate five principal discrete services in the achievement of these aims:
• Springboard Day Centre operates 5 days a week providing hot lunches, refreshments, shower facilities and counselling support to clients
• No Second Night Out is an emergency accommodation service aimed at engaging with clients and providing them a single service offer of assistance from a wide range of options.
• a 24 hour Hostel equipped with 16 individual bedrooms and modern high quality facilities with professional support for all clients
• Move-On Houses private houses currently leased by HHP and used to help clients progress further along the pathway back into society.
• Streetlight is the HHP psychotherapy support service and is a key component of clients’ transition back to society
We believe that HHP offers hope, encouragement and workable solutions to clients who have reached very low points in their lives. Like all independent charities we rely on donations from all sources – our annual net deficit that has to be funded by donations is around £250,000.
We are looking for a fresh dynamic new logo which we can use in fundraising activities and our dealing with statutory bodies and charitable foundations.
The new logo needs to show hope, energy, excitement, positivity, drive, success and flexibility whilst preserving our professional knowledge, standards and problem solving capabilities. Use of colour is vital to enable the positive attributes to be shown; we do need the logo to be printable in monochrome to a good standard as well as in full colour – administrative costs have to be kept to a minimum.
