Resumen de Diseño de Logo

Volterra aims to restore ecosystems through innovative agro and forestry techniques in Spain. We have the experience to restore degraded areas into healthy soils through the implementation of specific LIFE projects where trials of reforestation and soil improvement are approached in an integral way.

Recently, we launched in cooperation with other innovative and environmentally friendly companies a new EU project: LIFE Laser Fence. In a world with increasing demands for food and energy, effective and long lasting animal control is crucial. Animals are naturally drawn to food supplies in agricultural areas, but this leads to consequences for both animals and farmers. Chemical poisons are often used to control rodent populations on farms, where these animals destroy crops, eat livestock feed and can transmit disease.
This project will demonstrate the reduction of the impact of chemicals on fauna by the minimization of exposure to toxic chemicals by using a safe laser system named, Agrilaser. This technology works as laser fence that can be implemented around the farming field, in livestock farms or in surroundings of protected areas to keep animals at a safe distance. One of the partners Bird Control Group (BCG) has already developed a bird repelling system. In this project we will improve the functionality of the laser systems toward animals other than birds (rodents i.e. rabbits and mice or bigger mammals i.e. deer, wild boars, bears, etc.).

• In the annex you can see the logo of BCG, it is simple but clear; a laser that chases away birds. We would like a DIFFERENT logo with the same requirements but visualizing the wider goal of the project: we also want to chase away RABBITS, FOXES, deer, wild hogs and even bears from productive and sensitive areas .
• The logo would ideally link to the following subjects:
• - LIFE Laser Fence project is highly innovative
• - An animal friendly way to protect crops (the laser won´t kill animals, it only repels them)
• - The reduction of the impact of chemicals in the environment.
• - Without seeing the text, the picture must clarify the meaning of this project
