Hello everyone,
please one administrative point - whenever possible I will be giving you verbal feedback via messages as once I submit a feedback to certain design I can not see what I wrote anymore.
Please reply to this post if you think this is not a good idea.

Matus
Hello everyone,
since this project started I have received a lot of designs from you (thank!) and I have also learned that how not easy it is to describe properly what it is that I am actually after - partially also because seeing your work I am learning how such a logo could look and so my preferences change slightly. I though it would be a good idea to update on what I am after and what 'works' for me:
-> General design of the logo needs to should contain my first or second name (or both of them)
-> A separate icon can really add to the logo, but it should fit the name design-wise and it should not try to dominate the logo. It may be based on my initials, but that is just one possibility.
-> If the logo does not have an icon and relies only on text (usually name but hey, why stop there), then the font needs to be unique. But it also must stay readable. I really appreciate if you invest effort in making unique letters.
-> In general I like fonts that remind hand writing, but please not take this as a hard rule - several of the designs you have submitted work very well with block letters. Combination of the block and hand writing can look really cool too.
-> Many of you have submitted logos placed on a blade of a knife. That is actually a great idea - it really helps me to see how the logo will look on the knife. Please - when you do that use the two knives I have made (links are in the Brief). I will soon be posting a poll and it would really look strange if fellow knife enthusiasts (or even makers) would see my long on other maker's knives.
-> Some of you have attempted to implement the 'nuclear physics' element (something that is NOT easy to do). I have more information for you. The particle I have worked on during my PhD is called 'K meson', since it can be either positively '+' or negatively'-' charged it is simply denominated as 'K+' or 'K-' Now if you consider that my surname starts with 'K' there could be a more subtle way to implement that.
-> Last but not least - I would reiterate the impression that my logo should try to convene - quality handmade product made in the first place to perform on the highest level.
If you have questions that are not answered here please let me know and I will post another general message. I am trying my best to answer your questions and explain my expectations.
Thank you for your fantastic work so far. I am looking forward to our further cooperation.
Thank you
Kind Regards
Matus
Hello Matus,
Greetings for the day.
Sir, I would like to throw some light here, if you see similar concepts by different designers then it is being sent by Design Crowd's own designers who are able to see everybody's designs and concepts, because we cannot see each other's designs, ONLY DESIGN CROWD & THEIR TEAM CAN SEE EVERYBODY'S DESIGNS.
I have come across many fake contests too, where we have worked and sent even 30 designs on requests & got almost chosen but in the end something else happens, or the contest just disappears completely. Many designers are wondering what is happening with our designs also how can different people send same-modified concepts? Since I raised an opinion & a true fact, I may be blocked by DesignCrowd. I will keep a screenshot of this. I wrote because I am concerned and a dedicated designer, I earn my bread & pay for my living from this. :-) Thanks for understanding.
Regarding my designs' feedback, please inbox, not here. :-)
Hello Cosmic,
based on your experience it would seem that there are dark places on every oline service. However I have not experienced the issue you mention. I did not receive designs that would seem to be based on what other designers have sumbitted. But I fully understand your concern. I would wonder whether once the contest is over you should be able to see all submitted designs - that would allow for more transparency. Please note that this is my first experience with DesignCrowd and thus I do not know what is going on behind the scenes. The only issues I have experienced so far are of technical nature 'only' (compatibility with OSX). Kind Regards, Matus
