I want an upgrade / face-lift to the all the pages and sections of the current website at kehila.com. I am a developer but not a designer.

The website layout does not need to stay the same. Only the text, buttons, links, etc, need to stay the same. Logo can also be changed or altered.

I removed the requirement to delivery HTML/CSS and I static design of all pages is acceptable to win the project.  This is my first project and I wasn't aware that DesignCrowd focuses on static design and not HTML/CSS code.

Every designer essentially used the exact same "layout" that I currently have at kehila.com and gave it a small "facelift".  I guess my wording in the brief of the word 'facelift' was not totally accurate.  The navbar / header layout does not need to stay the same.  I would appreciate to see different options such as the navbar at the top (like www.mashable.com) or all one color on the header (like www.cnn.com) or making the logo all white and putting it inside the blue navbar (like mashable.com).  Just some ideas that I had.

I am willing to make the project guaranteed but most of the designs are very close to what I have now.  

Note, any ideas / graphics / images / icons that show the visitor that the website is related to Israel would be helpful.

I'm interested in having a background on the left and right sides for larger screens.  For an example, see http://bleacherreport.com/

I would like to have a faded image of the Israeli flag or a creative variation of it.

Another style that looks good is that white/gray such as http://www.rogerebert.com/ and https://angel.co/

I'm interested to see how to block out difference sections with small color variations.

Important change.  I want the newsfeed to look like a newsfeed. Right now, it looks like a blog site.  It's not obvious that articles are from other websites in the community.  I uploaded on the brief of youtube's feed.  It shows the a small thumbnail (16x16 or 32x32) and then user name (it my case organization name or website name) on the upper left corner above the main image.
