Dick's Drawers needs a website concept for our upcoming ecommerce site. Dick’s Drawers is an underwear line targeting a male demographic between 16 and 25. The logo is in the attachments. The brand is a colorful, rebellious underwear brand targeting men who are all about getting noticed and having a good time. And especially about meeting women. We need a website concept than will transport the audience into a world of rebellion, color and fun. We are totally open to ideas, but our initial thought is its an urban, graffiti jungle. It should be a transportive web environment that will make the audience feel they are entering this other world. It could be a street setting or it could be an alleyway (googling grafitti alleyway gives some ideas) or something else.

One challenge will be to create this colorful setting against which the various navigation tabs and product pictures will stand out in such a way as to allow easy e-commerce. Maybe the setting could be a building or garage with windows that the tabs would be set against for visibility.

Here is something we really like, but we have no idea how to make the various navigation tabs visible against a background as colorful and varied as this.

The brand is based on colorful and edgy designs that may certainly be provocative and even sexist in some minds. Similar brands are Muchachamalo and Bjorn Borg (before the went unisex fitness.) Please visit those brand sites to get an idea of what the product will look like.

From an executional perspective, the primary navigation tabs are in the attached map.

Again, this is an ecommerce site so saleable product must be easily visible on the homepage and elsewhere. The basic structure should be pretty standard with Hero A’s, Hero B’s, product shots and promotion boxes all very visible, but what we need is a really cool environment concept.
