We didn't have anything very specific in mind so we thought we would let the designers be creative with their choices, and then suggest color changes if necessary.

I looked at your portfolio and your website and decided to guarantee the payment based on the work I saw. Your logo designs are clean and simple, which is what we are going for....but we don''t want boring, generic, or something that doesn''t stand out.  Your logos in your portfolio definitely show unique memorable branding ability, and not just clip art style designs.
