Resumen de Diseño de Logo

I am a leatherworker in St. Louis, Missouri, USA looking to start my own modern leather goods company and I need a brand identity. My style is not the typical country and western goods people think of when they hear the term "leatherworker". My designs are more like Jack Spade for men and Kate Spade for women. I use bold colors and modern design aesthetics.

My company name, Clark & Olson, is the combination of two names that honor my and my wife's families. I have attached a version I mocked up.

While it doesn't necessarily evoke modern, I have chosen the rooster as an emblem because of the bright and bold coloring of various breeds (see attached examples). Also, I feel a rooster is always confident. It is something that I hope consumers feel when they're wearing my belts or using my wallets and bags.

My brand identity will have to take on a number of applications:
1. A custom leather stamp as a maker's mark that will exist on all of my products
2. A logo and color palette for web and print applications
3. Accessory merchandise such as t-shirts and hats for branding

• A logo design that can be adapted from simple to complex based on where it is used. For example, I need a logo or emblem that can be used as a maker's mark and, therefore, must be fairly simple to be made into a custom leather stamp. At the same time I envision the logo taking on more detail on signs, website and apparel where possible.
