Background
Ice are a brand experience agency. We help our clients express their brand and communicate their values through clever ideas and experiences. This is done across a range of activities including live events, conferences, exhibitions, brand environments and experiential activity.
We offer a full service with account management and creative team and can provide support with
graphic design, digital design, graphic production, logistics and installation.
We have a team of 25 people and are based near London.
Details
Our experience has mainly been with event related activity and are set up to handle this type of work and have become a specialist in this area. We are very good at what we do and become successful because of it. However as a result clients and our prospects naturally see us as only being able undertake specific type of work which is not necessarily the case but perception is a key influencer.
We find clients tend to be more comfortable if you can demonstrate knowledge and experience in the discipline that is relevant to them and it is very difficult to persuade them otherwise. They are very often not prepared to take the risk and in particular with larger scale projects.
Also the work that we undertake does take a great deal of resources and often involves high outside costs such as large format printing and commissioning a number of suppliers.
The next stage
The intention is to diversify and set up another division that specialises more in brand identity and brand communications. This will give us the flexibility to approach clients with the different proposition than we are able to do under the Ice banner. The new operation will be for the purposes of marketing and will ‘plug in’ to the current resources and support infrastructure that exists at Ice to deliver the work.
New identity
The new set up will be called Designroom and will require a new identity and website.
The look and feel of the identity should be different from Ice although it should be recognised that is part of another company so the full title will be Designroom Ice.
We would like to explore how this relationship might work. The visual relationship is important in terms of emphasis and should 80%-20% in favour of Designroom.
We are open to colour scheme although we would like it to complement Ice identity as they might be seen together at some point in the future but not immediately.
Format
The main use of the logo will be in digital marketing such as on the website and social media together with some basic stationery.
