Resumen de Diseño de Camiseta
I live and work in Stamford CT as a Realtor. I recently wanted to buy T-shirts that said "Stamford, CT" for my clients and found that no matter where I looked, there were no "official" tees for the great City of Stamford. I suppose because it's not a big tourist spot, it shouldn't surprise me. But we have a population of over 120,000 so it follows that we need a great T-shirt design.
I decided to take this on as my own pet project. I am looking for a great t-shirt design, that may also end up on sweatshirts or other garments. The winning design will be produced and available at first on a website, and eventually, hopefully at retail. If all goes well, I will be looking for additional designs in the future.
The design should be one color, reproducible in white or black on colored tees. I want it very cool, graphic and simple to print. That's why I want the first t-shirt to be just one color printing.
Stamford, although incorporated in 1893, does not have any real landmarks to speak of. We are a coastal community within commuting distance of New York City. If you would like to learn more about the city, the best place is Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stamford,_Connecticut
There are a lot of boaters in the city so you may choose to use a boat in your design, but by no means is that a mandatory. I am open to your ideas and interpretation.

Hello Great Designers.
It appears my comment about being a waterfront community may have misled some people. We are on the Long Island Sound but we are by no means a seaport like Newport RI. In fact, we do not have a port and we do not have ships.
We have many leisure sailboats and motor boats in several marinas. Therefore, a design with a tall ship would NOT be fitting for Stamford, but one with a leisure sailboat would.

Attention all designers! Almost all of the designs incorporate a sailboat or motor boat. I suggested that but it is not mandatory. It would be nice to see other designs without boats. I am now considering a 2nd place so I can have one with and one without a boat.

Only two days left. It sure would be nice to see some designs without boats. Almost all of those submitted feature boats. I've decided I will pick one with a boat and one without. Some nice graphic type treatments would be interesting.
