Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We are a group of Global Health researchers in the Faculty of Health Sciences as Queen's University in Ontario, Canada. We are forming a research alliance that will focus on research to improve the health and well being of persons and communities experiencing inequity (ex: indigenous populations, persons living in poverty, persons with disabilities, marginalized women and children, etc) in Canada and internationally. Our focus includes health equity and human rights, among others. Our activities will include (1) research, (2) capacity building (education of students, partners, etc) and (3) knowledge translation (research to action).
We are creating this Alliance to be a point of communication and collaboration among ourselves, but also with partners internationally and in Canada, at academic institutions and in community based organizations.
We need a logo that we will use on website, facebook, twitter, business cards and other communication. We have attached a file that includes our mission and vision statement for your review.
Our name, "ARCH", is meant to represent the idea of bridges (between people, countries, etc), spanning divides/differences, etc.

We want to be viewed by academic institutions and researchers, also by community based organizations and NGOs, all working on health, global health, health equity topics among "vulnerable" populations, health and human rights, etc

• We thought it might be nice to use the colors below (which are Queen's University colors) but are not completely set on this if designer comes up with something more visually appealing. We are looking for something "punchy" and neat, sparse, which conveys horizons, far reaching impacts, global reach, etc. The ARCH acronym is trying to tap into ideas of bridges (between people, countries, etc), spanning divides/differences and so forth
• We are not sure whether we want the name "ARCH" , or ARCH@queensu as part of the logo (probably just ARCH?)
